Lesson 17 What Do You Like to Do?

【Learners Analysis】

The young learners are about 10 years old. They begin to strengthen the

sense of independence. Although their voluntary attention and memory

have been developed, they can’t concentrate their attentions more than 30

minutes. The students need the teacher to help them get the learning

method. They like this living topic “What do you like to do? I like to

______”. It can help the students learn and use the dialogue.

【Teaching Material Analysis】

The title of Unit 3 is All about Me. Lesson 17 is the fifth one of this unit.

It introduces the things we like to do-- fly kites, play ping-pong, play

with the toys, play computer games. The phrases fly a kite, play games,

play on the computer, play with my teddy bear have been appeared in the

previous books.

【Teaching Aims】

1.Language Knowledge:

Students will be able to read, recognize, and use these phrases: fly kites,

play ping pong, play with the toys, play computer games. And these

sentences: What do you like to do? I like to _______ .

Ss will become familiar with the rules of pronunciation for the letters ou

2.Language Skill:

Ss can understand the phrases: fly kites, play ping-pong, play with the

toys, play computer games and get useful information from the

pictures through attentive listening / reading.

Ss are able to talk about: what do you like to do? I like to ________ .

Talk in the movies help Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking developed.

3. Emotional Aim:

(1) To help students cultivate and foster their abilities of working in

groups.

(2) To foster Ss’ consciousness of good-cooperation and proper

competition.

(3) To help Ss cultivate their abilities to analyze and solve problems

independently.

(4) To foster Ss’ initiative and creativeness.

[Thinking:欣赏短片后,教师把片中图片节选下来,并逐一引导学生学习本课重点句型。这一过程是本课的主要内容,学生在教师的引领下,借助发音训练、节奏训练等方法,渐渐理解like to

do sth.的语言结构,并在情景对话中学习简单地使用这一句型。过程中教师的板书给孩子作了好的书写示范。老师的时时评价,不断激励孩子认真学习,踊跃参与。]

3. Practice:(5 minutes)

Practice in pairs and tick the things they like to do.

[Thinking:借助短片中的另一些图片,老师鼓励孩子们用刚学过的对话进行交际,这一环节,老师尽量充当协助者的角色,只是站在一旁,提醒和纠正孩子对话过程中的一些失误,同时,语言、肢体和实物和三维度评价也鼓励孩子勇敢地参与到课堂活动中。在学生开始练习前,老师的示范尤其重要。根据学生课堂生成的情况,老师会调整示范的次数和力度,以确保孩子在后面的展示中能顺利完成。]

教学反思:

课上完了,我如释重负,心情却不能平静,该好好反思一下这节课的得与失。先说一下我本节课的成功之处吧。

1.本节课体现新课程标准的基本精神,注重综合语言运用能力的培养。并能根据教学内容和学生的实际情况,设置明确具体、可操作的各个维度目标。学生在课上知识掌握的比较好,基本达成了本课的教学目标。

2.教学过程清楚明确、结构严谨、各环节间的衔接自然,步骤层次清晰。教学过程中的每个步骤都会给学生做出示范,难易程度和活动设计层层递进,打消学生心中想说不敢说,想说怕说错的心理。

3.给动画“愤怒小鸟”配音的活动,激活学生学习兴趣,引导学生积极主动参与课堂学习。而且这种配音的学习形式,使学生在小组合作中既展示了学生的团结、协作意识,又发展了学生的语言表达能力和整理知识的能力。

4.对于课本的语音教学进行了积极的尝试。有创造性的利用砸蛋游戏把语音部分自然地融入进课堂,将孤单的单词自编成小绕口令,让孩子们乐在其中,流连忘返。

从听课教师的反应和自己的分析来看,本节课有如下几点不足:

’s watch! 这部分,给学生输入的信息量较多,如果精简几幅图,并亲切能够在出现图片的时候同步出现相应的句子,如:出现女孩正在打乒乓球的这张图片时,可以配上英文“I like to play

ping-pong. ”这样对于学生的学习导入更具针对性,欣赏效果会更好。

2.从短片中选出四幅图片进行讲授这一环节,当教师示意学生们一起向图片中的人物进行提问“What do you like to do?”的时候,如果能插入声音,让图片中的小朋友来回答学生们的现场提问,比教师替图中的小朋友回答效果会更好、更真实,使整个对答环节显得更加自然。

3.游戏环节非常有激情,孩子们兴致高涨。因为金蛋里暗藏惊喜。不过就像听课老师说的,孩子们一看到砸开金蛋是糖果,真是高兴极了。但如果砸开了是单词或是绕口令,学生则会多少表现出失望状。如果下次还有机会的话,我会将游戏规则略作改动,读单词的孩子利金戈铁骑整理制作

用评价机制给一个球,读句子的同学给两个球,尽量避免孩子产生上述心理。

以上是我对自己这节课的全面反思,也是运用新的课堂教学模式来不断提升自己的一次记录。没有反思就没有进步,从反思中不断的总结成功经验,不断地从自己的失败中汲取教训,不断的弥补自己的不足,只有这样才能促进自己的不断进步。
