In Thailand, elephants are widely used in tourism,
performances, transportation, and forest operations. One of
the most famous tourism activities is to interact with
elephants at elephant camps in northern and northeastern
Thailand. Visitors can ride on the backs of elephants
through jungles and streams, watch elephant performances,
and take photos. In addition, many places in Thailand have
dedicated elephant sanctuaries to protect elephants from
hunting and forest destruction.
However, with human destruction of the natural environment
