Simple past tense 教学设计

This lesson plan includes four parts, which is analysis of students,

analysis of teaching material, teaching and learning methods and teaching

procedure. This article is from an English text book .

Part One: Analysis of students

Students are in junior grade one. The Knowledge storage of students is

quite deficient. Their vocabulary is limited and they are lack of English

basic skills.

The students are divided for groups. The team leaders are active and they

do well in the class. The rest of them do poorly in the study and they are

not so eager to learn.

A Status and function

1)There are three tenses students need to learn this term---simple

present tense, simple past tense and simple future tense. This lesson is

about simple past tense, and it is divided into two periods. This is the first

period, and it is focus on the learning of declarative sentence. Students

can learn it rely on the simple present tense.

2) Considering the students' learning foundation, I list three types of

declarative sentences, which are verbs sentences, regular verbs sentences,

and irregular verbs sentences. I also design the learning of general

question into second period.

3) Tense learning is one of the most important things in English learning.

With the understanding of "past" and the Vocabulary deformation of

irregular verbs, simple past tense remains a diffcult point for students. If

students master this tense, it is easy for them to retell a story or state a

fact. This is good for their future language learning.

B Teaching aims

Goal: students will know the definition of simple past tense, and use it to

describe things happened before.

Terminal objects:

1) Students learn how to judge the tense of sentences by time expressions.

2) Students are going to learn three types of declarative sentence of

simple past tense.

Moral objects:

1) Students will take part in group works and improve their self learning.
